Every year we send our partners complimentary hurricane information kits to help you prepare for and deal with a hurricane or tropical storm should it impact your rental properties.

Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your kit—from reminding guests to purchase coverage in a timely manner to knowing what to do if your properties are evacuated.

In Your Kit:

  • Evacuation Contact Notification Form

If your properties are evacuated, be sure to complete this form and return it to us—so we know how to contact you during the evacuation and so we can prioritize and expedite your guests’ claims.

  • Claim Forms and Instructions

Evacuated guests should complete a claim form and send their supporting documentation to us as quickly as possible. Remind guests to keep receipts for amounts claimed.

REMINDER: Once a storm is forecasted or it becomes evident that a storm will impact travel to the vacation rental or surrounding area, the event is considered foreseeable. This means the insurance plan can no longer be purchased to cover losses that your guests might suffer from that specific storm.
